Alexander Ghebreselase is most known for his kind heart and enthusiasm, especially his zest for life. He has been recently feeling much back pain and thought that it was due to his ridiculous work hours and work load. So he finally decided to go to the doctor and get professional help with what was going on with his body. On Sunday, November 24, 2013, Alex was not prepared for what the doctors told him. That evening, Alex, at 28-years old was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. This has been a rough week for him and his family.
This page was created to raise funds towards life expenses that he and his family will incur throughout this long journey ahead. A road is ahead filled with many unknowns but we hope that are filled with many miracles to come! Alex has remained very optimistic since he received news of having cancer despite what the doctors are telling him. Alex does not have health insurance and he will be out of work for some time as he will be undergoing his first surgery on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with chemotherapy to follow. The fight ahead will have a big financial burden on Alex, Titi and the rest of their family. Between long hospital stay, travel to get treatment and chemo we are asking for any help! Please feel free to contribute whatever you can, help spread awarness and support during this tough time. Anything will be appreciated! We are also asking as we get together with our families and loved ones this Holiday Season, please Keep Alex, Titi and their family in your thoughts and prayers throughout Alex’s quest to Fight Breast Cancer!
"The pain that you've been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming." Romans 8:18
Peace, light and many blessings, everyone!
